About MeI am Pastor at First Lutheran church of Orland CA and St Paul's Lutheran of Artois CA. I am a Lutheran Urban Hermit. I dedicate my life to preach and teach the Word of God, I pray daily the Liturgy of Hours (Daily Office), practice contemplation, and consecrate my life to serve Jesus providing pastoral care and spiritual support to the people. I am a cancer survivor and I believe that Cooking is a Spiritual Practice.

My History
I was born in Lima, Peru. and I was ordained into pastoral ministry on October 31, 1998. I earned a degree in Law and Political Science from San Marcos University in Lima, Peru and I worked as a lawyer before entering the Evangelical Seminary of Lima. I served as Associate Pastor, Assistant to Bishop, Conference Dean, Synod Council member, Mission Developer and Parish Pastor in the ELCA in FL and CA. I was Seminary Professor and Pastor in Lima, Peru, coaching the formation of new pastors, and the continuing education of leaders. I was a lawyer with experience practicing law helping churches and non-profits in Peru. I am trained to help congregations providing Transitional and Multicultural Ministry.
In 2002-2003 I pursued my Masters in Philosophy at San Marcos University. My last call in Peru was to the Lutheran Congregation Cristo Rey in Lima, where I was involved in the theological education of new leaders and in ecumenical affairs. From September 2005 to 2011 I served as an Associate Pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church serving the Sacramento area. I also served as the Dean of the Sacramento Conference and the Synod Council (member at large). Later, as Bishop´s Assistant (2011-2015) in the Sierra Pacific Synod, I provided care and connection with congregations and pastors. My ministry focused on the areas of justice and advocacy and was the liaison for the Lutheran Office of Public Policy, the Lutheran Advocacy Ministry of Nevada, the Council of Deans, the Leadership Team, the Justice and Advocacy Team, and congregations in transition and call processes. I am trained to be Interim Pastor. On Nov 22nd, 2015 I was called to serve the Lutheran church of Our Saviour in Tampa FL until November 2022. In 2021 I was diagnosed with blood cancer and after my treatment and recovery I decided to move back to CA when I was called to serve as Pastor of First Lutheran Church of Orland and St Paul's Lutheran Church of Artois on February 19th, 2023. For me to be an Urban Hermit is to live my life consecrated to daily prayer, meditation and service.
